The Bed Bug Cimex lectularius has a brown round flat body about 4 to 5 mm (about 1/8 in) long that enables it to hide in the narrowest of crevices. Its wings have degenerated and virtually disappeared. Both the nymph and adult have piercing mouth-parts and feed on blood. Their bodies become distended with blood when they are feeding. |
